Rosalie Fisher

Rosalie Fisher is a medical oncologist trained in New Zealand and in the United Kingdom with a special interest in the treatment of melanoma. Rosalie spent three years in the melanoma unit at the Royal Marsden Hospital where she participated in pivotal drug development trials and translational research in melanoma, and published widely in these areas as well as contributing to patient and public education. Research in melanoma continues to be an active interest.

Rosalie practises at Auckland City Hospital and at Canopy Cancer Care, treating patients with advanced melanoma, and breast and gynaecological cancers. She is a Trustee on the board of the Melanoma Foundation, and is a member of Melnet and the Australian and New Zealand Melanoma Trials Group. She believes strongly in the value of the multi-disciplinary team in improving outcomes for patients with melanoma and strives to provide clear communication and compassion as part of comprehensive patient care. She is also an advocate for wider access to novel, effective drug therapies for patients with advanced melanoma.
